Finance Integration - Activity Based Costing Report
The Activity Based Costing Report may be used to compare estimated costs with actual costs on a per activity basis.
This report is run from the "Reports"->"Maintenance Planning"->"Activity Based Costing" toolbar menu.
The report is a quarterly report and is run for a selected financial year.
The actual costs may either be input directly into Assetic myData against work items or be derived from the finance system.
If reporting from the finance system the report must be configured to access the finance system to obtain the actual costs ("Strategic Maintenance Planning"->"Reports Configuration"->"Activity Based Costing" menu).
The screenshot below shows the report. Take note of the following fields set before the report is run:
- Report Year - the financial year to apply the report;
- Report Quarter - this can be all financial quarters or a specific quarter;
- Cost data from - this indicates if the actual costs are derived from the finance system ("integration data" option) or from actual costs entered against a myData work item;
- Show Standard Unit Rate: shows the unit rate defined in myData for the estimated costs, and calculated unit rate based on actual costs.
Allows comparison between expected and actual cost; and - Saved Revised SUR: this allows the estimated unit rates for an activity to be updated based on the actual costs.

The report may be exported to a variety of formats including Excel.
The "Advanced Search" button can be used to filter the activities or activity groups among other fields.
If using "Integration Data" this report is most effective when the work ticket contains information for the following fields in "Work Planning":
- Scheduled Start Date
- Work Activity
- Quantity
If using "Saved Database this report is most effective when the work ticket contains information for the following fields:
- Work Planning
- Scheduled Stated Date
- Work Activity
- Quantity
- Actual Work
- Scheduled Stated Date
- Work Activity
- Quantity
- Actual Cost
